The more important parts of the library are working now. This is mainly the uploand and download of tracks and waypoints. Not all protocols are implemented however, but it should work with the widespread Garmin eTrex family. You will have to checkout from cvs, as no tarball release has been made yet.

An event driven model has been used to make it possible to react to actions taken by the GPS device without triggering from the application.

We decided to put the base library under the LGPL License. The GUI Project will be under GPL. Did some site updates as well.

Kick Off! Today we activated the mailing lists. See the support section for details.

The code is almost ready to be posted. It will appear here on this site in a matter of days. It will still be alpha code, mostly for developers. There will be some utilities which can be used for testing.
